Architect, Lighting designer

Architect & Lighting designer, born in Venezuela in 1976, with more than fifteen years of experience in the architectural, lighting design and construction field.Started her relation with the lighting in Caracas, as a Lighting technician in theaters and concerts and as well as exploring different expressions of the lighting in other fields as: museography and photography. After gotten her Architectural degree in Universidad Central de Venezuela and after working in the Museum of Sciences of Venezuela as a museographer as well as an architect in different constructions, she opens her studio called “Arquifabrica” dedicated to Architecture, Lighting and Construction. In 2007, she moved to Madrid to start the MSc in Architectural Lighting Design in Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. In April 2008, start the adventure in the Middle East, as she moved to Dubai to work as a Lighting designer in a Lighting Design office. In 2009, she moved to Barcelona, Spain, to update skills in Lighting in Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya. In 2012, she moved again to the Middle East, this time to Qatar, to work as a Lighting Design Manager for different projects. In 2016 she joined a construction company (QD-SBG) as a Senior Architect for Lusail master plan. In 2017, participated as a Speaker for Smart City and Lighting in “Arab Future Cities Summit” in Doha, Qatar, and awarded as distinguished speaker. Later, she moved to Bahrain to work as a Design and Project Manager in Lightex, in which she continued developing lighting and design projects. In 2019, she was accepted to start the PhD in Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. The conjunction of different scenarios of the lighting in her experience as well as her background in the architecture and construction, have brought her a wide understanding of the possibilities of the Light.
