

Maureen Moran
Lighting Designer
Maureen Moran has over thirty five years of experience as an architectural lighting designer. Since 1996, as the principal of MCLA, Maureen has led a team of qualified individuals to create award-winning designs for a wide variety of project types. Projects include historic landmarks, educational facilities, conference centers, performance halls, museums and hotels. MCLA’s work spans the continental US and extends to Europe, Central and South America, Asia, and the Middle East.
Under Maureen’s leadership, MCLA’s work has been honored with numerous design awards, over forty-five awards from the Illuminating Engineering Society, and international Awards of Merit from IALD and A/L Light and Architecture. Maureen’s work has been published in Lighting Design + Application, A/L magazine, Interior Design, Contract Magazine, AIA|DC, and Mondo ARC. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and holds a five-year Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design. She enjoys sharing her expertise with students and colleagues, having taught lighting design and lectured at a number of universities and industry conferences.
