Research Engineer
Mr. Feagin joined PNNL in 2018 as a Research Engineer following sixteen years in the lighting industry. Prior to PNNL, Mr. Feagin has held positions as a Custom Lighting & Controls Engineer for an architainment company, a Lighting Design Practice Leader for a multinational architecture and engineering firm, and a Director of Business Technology for a lighting manufacturer. He has invented an award-winning Internet of Things (IoT) sensor network during his graduate studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), for which he was granted a provisional patent. His current research efforts, supported by the Department of Energy Solid-State Lighting Program, are focused on the evaluation of sensors, controls, and integration. To facilitate novel research, Mr. Feagin delivers new inventions that involve mechanical, electrical, and software design parameters.
