Everyone has an interesting story about how they got into lighting and I am no exception! My first exposure began with the introduction of LED technology in 2004 while working in the semi-conductor industry. LEDs were an innovative solution that proved valuable in many applications including emergency vehicle lighting, battery powered solutions, and hand-held torches. I powered through several years of evangelization and explanation until the acceptance of LEDs or solid state lighting into the general lighting market in 2008.
I expanded my technical knowledge and sales acumen to provide solutions and solve problems across the industry as the demand for solid state lighting became the main source for lighting applications. In 2013, I was honored to become a member of the Acuity BrandsĀ® team as a manager in the Digital Lighting Components Group responsible for the eldoLEDĀ® LED Driver solutions and the expanding components portfolio supported worldwide.
With nearly 20 years of industry experience, I now serve as Director of Sales for Acuity Brands, and have the privilege of leading teams supporting both electrical distribution sales and engagements with the lighting specification community.
