Diane Borys

Lighting Designer

Diane Borys is an award-winning Architectural Lighting Designer and founder of Noctiluca Lighting Design and Consulting, based in San Diego, CA. With a background in Architectural Engineering, Diane specializes in balancing the Art and Science of Lighting Design for commercial and hospitality projects. Since 2006, Diane has been passionate about ensuring each project is a creative, coordinated visual experience that is cost effective, energy-efficient, meets owner goals and celebrates the Architectural environment. 

Megan Carroll

Specification Sales Manager

Megan Carroll is a Senior Specification Sales Manager with New York Digital, Acuity Brands with over thirty years experience in various sales & marketing roles. Most recently, she served as the Chairwoman for the 2018/2109 IES Annual Conference. She also chaired the IES Illumination Awards from 2014-2016 and has served on the Medals Committee, the IA committee & the annual conference steering committee. Megan is a member of the IESNYC.

Erik Ennen

Facility Service Manager

As Facility Service Manager with Center for Energy and Environment, Erik provides training to building operations and management staff in both the public and private sector to improve building operations and maintenance, increase occupant comfort, and reduce energy consumption. Erik is also involved in sales and client relations for the One-Stop Efficiency Shop small business lighting program.  

Mark Lien

Industry Relationship Manager

Mark has designed interior and exterior lighting systems for a wide range of applications including residential, municipal, retail, healthcare and both conventional and nuclear power plants. Over several decades he has provided lighting education while working, presenting and teaching across four continents. He serves on over twenty lighting related committees including ASHRAE, ANSI, IEEE, ISO and the IES. As a part of his job he also monitors over 100 lighting related organizations.

Mark is a columnist for Lighting Design and Application Magazine (LD+A) writing on the changes in our industry and he hosts a podcast on lighting trends and technologies. Mark has served on multiple boards and is currently on several executive committees advising various organizations. Mark ran the educational centers for both Cooper and Hubbell Lighting and was the Director of Government & Industry Relations for OSRAM SYLVANIA before joining the Illuminating Engineering Society and he serves as lighting consultant to the IES today through his company, Augmented Illumination.

Robert Preston

Lighting & Energy Specialist

Bob Preston is Lighting & Energy Specialist with Capital Electric - A Sonepar Company. Bob is Lighting Certified by the NCQLP and is a member of the IES. He has been with Capital Electric for 32 years. Bob supports energy efficient lighting activities, coordinates utility incentive programs for the sales team and their customers, and has, for many years, spearheaded lighting education events across all of Capital Electric’s footprint. 

Randy Reid

CEO, Editor, Publisher

Randy Reid is the CEO of LumEfficient, a company focused on heavy industrial Lighting. He is also the Editor and Publisher of the EdisonReport.  In addition, Reid recently became the Executive Director of the National Lighting Bureau.  Reid is a past president of the Illuminating Engineering Society and a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve. He holds a Bachelor of Science from University of Alabama and an M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee.
