Description: Did you know the IES has an “official” method to measure light? This webinar will show you a few of the adopted methods for correctly measuring lighting in the field. 

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course learners will be able to...

1. Identify and understand the terms and metrics associated with lighting calculations and measurement.
2. Explain the various IES recommended methods for measuring illuminance for different facilities and applications. 
3. Understand how to select and use light meters.
4. Learn how to measure the lighting in the subject project and will be able to generate meaningful reports. 

*This course is offered for 1 CEU, though the learning objectives slide within the video presentation shows 1.5 CEUs, this program is one hour, and does not qualify for 1.5 CEUs. We apologize for the discrepancy.

Joseph Good

Mr. Good is an award-winning lighting designer, lecturer and teacher. For over 40 years he has designed lighting products, designed the lighting for homes and commercial projects and designed the technical aspects of performing arts facilities. He has spoken at colleges and universities, trade shows and exhibitions about lighting. His work has received over 55 international awards for lighting design and sustainability. He has also been President of The Illuminating Engineering Society and the National Council for the Qualification of the Lighting Professions. He is a Fellow of the IES and a professional member of the International Association of Lighting Designers and the US Institute of Theater Technology.
