About this Course and Tool
The IES offers Educational Webinars throughout the year, purposefully spanning a broad range of topics and speaker expertise.
Description: A visual exploration of the dynamic relationship between light and the materials it illuminates. Through a wide range of examples—from finely crafted millwork details to large-scale architectural applications—this presentation examines how material properties influence the perception of light and how lighting shapes our experience of materials. Viewers will gain a deeper, more nuanced understanding of these interactions, helping both emerging and experienced lighting designers create more intentional, effective, and engaging visual environments.
